The Spas and The Waters
Without doubts, the thermal water is the main characteristics of Bagno di Romagna; it naturally gushes out from the Savio river left side, through a constant flow, which is today collected at the Santa Agnese complex. For the valley residents the spring has always been a strong attraction element, even before the Romans conquer; since most ancient epochs the benefits through the underneath divinities had been recognized, as to make them objective of veneration and cult. It is assumed that besides the recognized curative purposes, the springs were also surrounded by a sacral aura.
