The small village Bagno di Romagna is located in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, at an altitude of 500 m above sea level. Its mountains, a destination for walkers and hikers, touch 1,500 m above sea level.
Located on the E45 road axis, the motorway connecting Ravenna to Rome, it is an excellent starting point to explore central Italy: an hour's drive takes you to the Romagna Riviera to the north and the Tuscan art cities Arezzo and Florence to the south.

Part of its territory is included in the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests Monte Falterona and Campigna, within which there is the Sasso Fratino Integral Nature Reserve, the first to be established in Italy and one of the most valued in Europe.

Squares, loggias and historic streets
Historical village with the medieval Via Palestro and the wall towers. One “Torrione”, an architecturally and historically interesting defensive structure, remains of the walls today.

Palazzo del Capitano
The facade of the palace bears the noble coats of arms brought by the long Florentine dominance in the Romagna-Tuscany territory and is now the venue for art exhibitions and home to the historical archive and municipal library.

The Romanesque Basilica Santa Maria Assunta, the heart of Bagno di Romagna's cultural and artistic life, houses valuable works from the Florentine Renaissance.
